Vision on soil analysis

When we ignore the soil fertility and especial the biological activity, Animal diseases occur more often and more use of agrochemicals for plant health care is needed. Traditionally soil analysis merely search for the amount of minerals, clay and organic matter and not much more. The soil is in that case more seen as a rack of minerals.

The biological life in the soil can however be very diverse. Millions of bacteria, thousands of fungi, yeasts, very little soil animals are living normally in one gram of soil. When there is an equilibrium between those forms of soil biota, less diseases of plants and cattle occur. Fertilizers such as  nitrogen (from either organic or mineral form) will be better used.

The working of minerals is influenced by other elements, they have an impact on soil biota, soil biota forms structure in the soil, structure of the soil influences the root system and the availability of minerals. A Koch- soil analysis gives insight in those equilibriums.

With this analysis the choice of organic and inorganic fertilizers can be made more effective for transforming the soil to a living, healthy soil. We have many types of packages of analysis, chemical, biochemical  and microbiological combined and also fieldwork (soil structure).

People and animals have intestines to digest food, the plant has no digestion organs, the soil is the intestine to digest the food, that the plant can pick up. A spoiled stomach let a man feel sick, how would the plant feel. Especially the analysis of the oxygen processes and soil  biota gives insight in the digestion within the soil.
