Sodium
Sodium is especially important for red (and other) beetroots, celeriac and pumpkins.
On clay- and sandy-clay soils, sufficient sodium is administered through regular
doses of stable manure. This is not so much the case with sandy soils, where
sodium is washed out more quickly.
Sodium can be found in agricultural salt, nitrate of soda, seasalt and, to a
lesser degree, in potassiumsalt. If the assessment is "low"and "very
low", then an extra dose is desirable for the crops mentioned in this section
in the form of the concentrated fertilizers mentioned here above.
